Poonam Nalawade completed her M.Sc. in Forensic Psychology from Gujarat Forensic Science University. She has successfully passed the Forensic Aptitude and Caliber Test (FACT) in Forensic Psychology, certified by the Ministry of Home Affairs. Poonam is trained in Trauma-Informed Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. With a focus on mental health awareness and child rights advocacy, she has gained significant experience in handling child abuse cases.

Poonam has collaborated closely with NGOs, Child Protection Units, Child Welfare Committees, and Police personnel. Her expertise includes dealing with primary and secondary trauma cases in both children and adults. She has also conducted numerous workshops and webinars on topics such as Mental Health, Introduction to Counseling for social workers, Introduction to Forensic Psychology, Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse, Child Rights, and Child Protection.
